Anatole's blips

Redcastle - 1641

The castle at Milton of Redcastle overlooking the Beauly firth. Now ruined with cracked and broken walls remaining it still stands as an impressive structure.

The RM probably stands for Rory Mackenzie who owned the castle at about this time. It was sacked by the Covenanters in 1649.
