Homecoming Sunset

We've had a fairly awful journey home today. That didn't surprise me, there's always lots of people travelling on the day after Boxing Day. It was raining heavily and we'd hardly left George's when someone came past us on the other side of the road. Nothing unusual about that except the road was a dual carriageway and he was going the wrong way. I flashed but he seemed completely oblivious. I'm glad the traffic was light on that road.

The journey was slow and the weather was awful and we wondered if we'd get back to pick up Cato before his holiday home closed. We did with just a little time to spare and he's happy to be home, as are we after a lovely time away.

With the weather being such a noticeable part of the day as Storm Gerrit blew though it was interesting to see that the theme for 'Wide on Wednesday' hosted by BobsBlips is 'The Weather With You'. After all that awful weather it was good to see a spectacular sunset as we reached home. I think it's indicating a good day for the local shepherds tomorrow.
