Hungry Cygnet

Mum and Dad were on hand looking after the two cygnets and took them to a secluded spot in the reeds away from marauding gulls, rooks and buzzards which are very prevalent by the lake. Though having seen off the oystercatchers with a growl I think the two cygnets were pretty safe, though not a big family for the swans.

These were lovely to see today - very cute little grey balls of fluff!

Treated myself to a new Benro tripod gimbal head which works so much better - a lot more steady and less hassle than balancing the lens precariously on the window ledge!
