The moon over Radiata Plateau

This shot of RP and Mt Elphinstone was taken at 10pm tonight from a distance of 4 kms. The extra is of the same cliff at 5pm taken almost vertically, 100m from the base.
There is a policy of some local and state governments to change geographical names to aboriginal equivalents, ranging from the thoroughly justified to the thoroughly ridiculous. The difference depends on whether common sense and accurate history is applied or just random ideology.
A good example of the latter is Radiata Plateau which is now to be known as Ngula Bulgarabang although in the 3 years since the change, I’ve never heard the name used, even by a local elder who’s an old veterinary client of mine or the National Parks Ranger who I speak to regularly.
