Port A transport

Port Aransas is very much a holiday destination and there are numerous outlets in town to hire beach buggies so for our last full day this was our local transport to the beach and for a return trip to the bird sanctuary.

Yesterday we walked along the wooden pier so today Mrs AMK and I walked along the much longer stone breakwater constructed from huge granite like blocks which made walking interesting. Like the wooden pier it was being used for fishing and as one of the extras shows the pelicans kept a close eye on the fishermen and women.

The other extra was taken back at the bird sanctuary- the cute little pink bird at the bottom left corner is a Roseate Spoonbill I believe and of course there were plenty pelicans there too.
