Everything in the garden should be lovely

... But it isn't. Building work started in our front garden last Tuesday, which was a day of destruction. Then a day of very little, then some slabs laid. And nothing since then.

We were so looking forward to having our front garden tidy and a place for a bench to watch the evening sunsets, and all we've got at the moment is a bare earth slide from our front door to the pavement. I feel a dispute brewing...

I'd like to have sat out this evening enjoying views of this glorious multi-coloured border, but they've wrecked the wall in the back garden too.
