We decided to go and check on our caravan today.
We invited some friends to endure the dreadful weather and come along for the day. They dutifully turned up at 8am and off we went.
Despite storms and relentless rain, all seemed ok when we got there. 
After a hot drink and a chat, we gathered up our stuff and went out for a nice brunch.
Then it was back out in the heavy rain and gales and we headed back to England.
It’s been a nice day despite the weather, fun company and lots of chat and laughs on the journey. Our little dog enjoyed all the attention too . It was just a shame we couldn’t head to the beach to give him a run. 
Anyway, that’s it for 2023, and we won’t be returning until the start of March when the site re-opens. 
It’s been a fun year , spent exploring nice places and eating lots of ice cream. Hopefully the weather will be kinder to us next year and we can enjoy some much needed sunshine .
None of this would have happened if we hadn’t bought a little dog. He brings us so much joy and we love the adventures he takes us on.
