Not So Grand Hotel
Back Blip
Desperately trying to catch up with missed photos before the start of the New Year.
On Wednesday evening I had the mad idea to drive to Anglesey and get some bracing sea air, thinking it will either kill or cure me :-) So we set off early on Thursday morning and on route, changed our minds and thought we'd cut the journey shorter by going to Llandudno instead.
To cut a long story short, we were busy chatting and missed the turning, so we ended up driving through Snowdonia National Park and found ourselves in Betws-y-Coed. It was quite busy but we had a wander around then drove out of town to eat our picnic.
We called at Llandudno on the way home. It was just getting dark but we gave Fionne a little blast on the beach and then took her to the pub, where I had a gorgeous mulled wine. Luckily I wasn't driving.
This is an image of the Grand Hotel on the pier at Llandudno. The rusty ironwork in front of the hotel is usually where a Ferris wheel is sited but it's obviously taken down for the Winter....in fact, most of the pier was closed, with only a handful of vendors selling hot food and drinks.
