Köycegiz Lake

Another day mainly on a boat, first a bus ride to Dalyan where we boarded a riverboat to sail to the nearby sulphurous mud baths and mineral pools after our "Bath" cruised over the reed-fringed Köycegiz Lake for lunch at a riverside restaurant.

After lunch sailed downstream to Iztuzu beach, (passing some more Lycian tombs on the Cliffside above) this long arc of sands is a protected nesting ground for rare Caretta-caretta or loggerhead turtles we did see one being fed blue crabs, finished the day with more sunbathing and swimming on the beach.
