St Cross

This morning, we went for a walk into Winchester via St Cross and the Itchen navigation and river. It was quite muddy everywhere. It was dull, but at least not windy, and we were back home before the rain set in yet again.
This is the chapel of the old  Hospital of St Cross, and its  distinctive almshouses with their tall chimneys, on the left of the picture.  St Cross
