My front garden, seen from the window of my den, with weigela, pyracantha and buddleja globosa in flower. What you can't see is the virginia creeper over the front of the house, or the dogwood, ivy and plentiful weeds. My back garden, or at least half of it (it's quite big), is similarly dense. The bird feeders, hung in or near the shrubs, are constantly busy. The birds serenade me from the bushes and trees all day. They like it here, even if you do need a machete to find the door.
