Pitching

It wouldn’t be my obvious choice for a Sunday morning activity, but today we had to deliver an exercise that involved pitching a nature-based enterprise idea to a jury, mostly of colleagues. After this we are all supposed to be better placed to support communities in the projects where we work to develop enterprises and diversify incomes where there are conservation-friendly business ideas.

My colleague and I won a prize of some Madagascan chocolate for our pitch, as we were deemed to deliver it well. From the feedback I gathered that we’d focused on style over substance. Which was entirely correct.
