Grabbing a Snack

I think this might be a Pine Siskin, a type of Finch.  She was snacking on the tender buds of the bush outside my breakfast room window. It's hard for me to tell the females of the various Finch types apart but isn't she pretty!  So, the partying is over and the year begins in earnest today.  Mine will begin with a call to my doctor about my knee which is most definitely getting worse. I have to wear my knee brace every day and use my cane.  I know what they are going to say, "knee replacement".  I shudder at the thought of that challenge.
