Visitors for lunch

What an awful day. One of those days where the lights are left on. I drove to the local M&S for sandwiches for lunch as Julie was coming. The road nearest Chris's house out of the village is impassable and the top of the road to the main road is also flooded but cars drive through a farm yard. I wasn't taking the chance so drove through Foxton as I knew it would be clear.
Julie only walked round the corner and she was soaked. We had a lovely lunch and I gave her her birthday present which she loved. I decided not to go a dog walk with them and get soaked when I didn't need to. I think we all wish one thing for 2024 for it to stop raining!!!!
