Shooting Pool

We started the day with some Mancala.  Cyclops taught CyclopsJnr his preferred opening, after which CyclopsJnr went on to beat him several times.

After breakfast we completed his Christmas Lego - an Audi RS-Q e-Tron.  It's been a sophisticated build with twin motors, differential drive, complex suspension and dual rack steering.  Once completed he was able to connect it to his tablet and control it remotely.  It has now explored every corner of our room, and bumped into most of the furniture...

Next we went for a swim, with lots of flying down the inflatable side and playing piggy in the middle with the ball.

After lunch CyclopsJnr went to kids club for a bit while his parents went for a nice walk, then went on a bouncy castle and played ping pong.

Next came a Ceilidh Dancing session, where CyclopsJnr was a bit shy but got into it - the whole family joined in the Dashing White Sergeant, and parents variously participated in the Gay Gordons and an Orcadian Strip the Willow.  It was chaotic, but he had a good go!

We went to the bar to play Rummikub and Carcassonne before dinner, and MrsCyclops won both.

After dinner Cyclops and CyclopsJnr played pool.  This is very good value for money (£1) as neither is capable of potting balls with any reliability so the game took forever.  Who won was more down to attrition (fouls, potting each others balls) than any skill, but it was great fun.  We played a few games of Air Hockey afterwards, which were fast, furious and hilarious.  CyclopsJnr did a epic trick shot that will never be repeated...

After that it seemed like time to collapse into bed exhausted, although it proved necessary to chase a rocket balloon around the bedroom a few times first...

Another fun-packed day!
