Birthday treat

We went out as soon as the storm had passed. First stop a garden centre with a rather good cafe. Andrew chose coffee cake, and had half of Katie’s pecan pie too! 
Then we went on to Slapton Ley for a walk with Bonnie. It was very muddy but enjoyable, and we saw an American duck.
Bonnie met two black labs who were having a lovely time splashing in the lake. She was amazed, as she hasn’t had a swim yet. I think she wanted to join them but we had to get back in the car!
Then we went onto the shingle beach to watch the waves crashing in. Unfortunately we got a bit too near and a huge roller managed to fill our wellies! Bonnie was ok though as she rushed away just in time.
