A wet day in Ashby

Wasn't it just and didn't it rain? Flooding is forecast for areas of Loughborough.

We were in Ashby for my appointment with the podiatrist. The persistent corn on my right foot has migrated along the toe. It's been removed for the moment. I'm grateful for the corn cushion and the dressing that the podiatrist put on.

She had eleven people for lunch on Christmas Day and got an electric kettle and a larger air fryer for presents. She needed the larger fryer for her larger family.

A Moment in Thyme was closed and will not open until next Monday. Perhaps December was too busy and the staff are taking a rest but I was put out because the proprietor had said she would be open today.

Back home, we watched Liz Taylor and Richard Burton in Cleopatra. Another film I hadn't seen before. Then it was back to the computer to begin updating the RPS Travel group site for the monthly competition. A bit extra required as it's a New Year.

Ashby looked festive. All the shops had Christmas trees with lights above the doors. Altogether a more friendly feel than Loughborough.
