The Projectionist

It occurred to me on the way home that the most natural places in a city are not the parks, rivers or beaches but the abandoned, uncared for places: the vacant blocks of land that are a habitat for frogs, birds and possums; the overgrown rail corridors; the inaccessible canal sides. They’re not photogenic though.

The projectionist was at the Museum of Contemporary Art, films totalling over three hours being part of the Tacita Dean exhibition. We didn’t linger anywhere near that long.
