A dull damp misty morning in Ambleside. I’d done the essential jobs and at 9.30 was sitting wasting time*.

Knew I should get out so decided to go to Keswick for a coffee and wander. The weather was much better there. Parked in my usual 2 hour free roadside spot and wandered past the shops, had a coffee (and scone) and returned via the lake.

Driving home once I was over Dunmail Raise and heading down to Grasmere I was back in the murk and it’s stayed like that all day with cloud covering the hills.
