Classic view of St Cuthbert’s and the Castle

Yes, yesterday’s blip was inverted. Glad you liked it.

Our last day in Edinburgh. We travel south tomorrow. The weather was again very kind. Only rained after dark.

We took the 44 into Edinburgh getting off at Lothian Road and walked up to Bruntsfield Links the Meadows and all around George Square and the university before making our way back to Princes Street.

A quick look at the market then down to the Scottish Malt Whisky Society rooms in Leith for dinner and a dram. I tried Madeira’s Sweet Salvo: Madeira cake dipped in molten white chocolate sprinkled with chunks of glacé cherries etc etc…. and Bootleg Saloon Breakfast: sawdust on the floor, Heather and gorse, waffles, maple syrup on porridge and orange and lemon marmalade.
