Drive around Banks Peninsula

Back Blip from Akaroa

Another very hot day. No gardening today. My son took me on a drive around the different bays on Banks Peninsula. You couldn't get down to the beaches. The roads were rather steep and dust but the views were amazing.

Around 3pm as we were making our way back to Akaroa when the temperatures dropped from 30c to 16c within a very short time. No rain just strong winds. They died down after a hour and it warmed up a little. I managed to get some more gardening done once the sun went down.

We could seeing lighting in the evening but no thunder or rain. We did get some rain in the early hours of the morning. Much cooler evening so not a very noisy New Year's Eve

Happy New year to you all.
