Taking a break!

Today I photographed three different subjects; the local shops view, which I have taken previously, the post pillar box, together with the recycling station with their colour contrasts and finally this workplace environmental shot, which I have selected as the image for today.

It presented a few challenges; taken in the bus depot staff room which is small and cramped.  Secondly the subject was sitting with his back to the window thus no natural light falling on his face.  Finally florescent light over head producing a mixed light source.   All these factors not making it easy, however I liked the pose and the arrangement the subject's arms were in, and he was relaxed.  An f1.4 aperture ensured that the scene out the window was blurred and this is the result.  A moment in the life of a transport worker.
