Back To The Lake

I walked Mishka on the lead round our neighbour's lake for the first time since she came to live with us last May. I haven't done it before because I wanted her to learn the boundaries of our property.

We loved it. It was so nice to see my old friend Jack heron up close. A bit sad that his perch, the Eucalyptus tree on the island, seems to be ailing. Also storm Henk had felled a large bough of a winter flowering cherry tree on the southerly bank. Nice to see the regular pair of Canada geese in residence.
