Waiting to jump in the box

The first visitor this morning was a carpenter to reattach the handle on the dishwasher. We rarely use it except for the likes of New Year’s dinner, so it was a surprise when the screw came loose! 

He was a chatty chap and very friendly. Whilst he was working he told us about a place worth visiting locally, that we weren’t aware of. Trentham Gardens, south of Stoke. Amber obviously gave him the seal of approval as she lay in her bed and just ignored him whilst he was in the house, not her normal behaviour.

The rest of the day was spent packing up the Christmas trees and decorations, doing another couple of loads of washing, then ironing everything from yesterday and today. It just took absolutely ages. 

A dry day in this area, we were lucky!!!
