Red Kites over the Village

Today we actually had sunshine - yes sunshine ! Hooray ! It’s been such a wet few days - flooding is now across the whole country.

We lay in bed late today as it’s been a hectic few days and P had a cold . We went into Sherborne to do the weekly shop and have a coffee before popping to the egg shed . Blue skies meant that two red kites which were wheeling and diving over the nearby bank really stood out against them . It was magnificent- made the day really special . We had a chat to a man just leaving the shed and he was entranced by them too ! 

After P went to work, I spent the rest of the  afternoon catching up with friends on the phone . Followed by crochet and the final episodes of ‘Bad Sisters’.
