Further Reading (Day Thirteen of CoViD)

It’s a long journey out of this despicable disease (— is there any adorable malady? —), albeit it’s giving room to reading. Another Christmas present, a remarkable historical textbook: “Breakup of Conscience” by professor Frank Trentmann, German born and teaching at London and Helsinki universities. Written originally in English: “Out of the Darkness; the Germans 1942-1992”. The pile of paperback novels in the background is our son’s. He promised to take them to his flat tomorrow.
