Dhow-ho

One of the things I'd been meaning to try was the Dhow across Dubai creek. Unlike the ones elsewhere in the city, these are the real deal rather than modern electric tourist traps. They also only cost 1AED (€0.25) rather than 25AED.

You get on the boat, seated above the engine around the driver's "cab". Once he's convinced it's full enough he comes round and takes your dirham off you and sets sail. Only takes 2-3 minutes to get to Bur Dubai but it's a great way to see the area. Parking is just crashing into the pier (and other boats). Seems like it is traditional to get off before the boat has come to a complete stop too. Wouldn't want to be a rollercoaster safety announcer looking for work around these parts.

Definitely could spend the whole day
