Freezer contents out in the big world

It's late and I'm tired so I'll just write a few lines and let the pictures tell the story.
Main picture - chest freezer contents. AndrewNZ commented yesterday that our outdoor temperature was colder than his freezer. This was an excellent reminder that our chest freezer needed defrosting. So here are the contents outside the cellar, while the freezer inside defrosts. Nothing's thawing as it's -22°C just now. The contents are now safely back in their newly defrosted freezer.
Extra 1 - sunrise this morning, beautiful as ever.
Extra 2 - Into the wild. Jan is breaking trail (again) as we set off on snowshoes. The forest just off our garden.
Extra 3 - My turn to break trail. The new snow has curled in from both sides but we can still see where the trail is.
We didn't make it to our usual end point. We were well-dressed (and actually a bit too warm as we worked hard) but at -18°C it was hard work in the new snow, and since we had other jobs to do (main picture) we left the last 1/3 of the trail for another day.
And now it's off to bed for me - Goodnight world!
