Booky Goatherd

Saturday: Banana Pyramid

We took a drive to San Ignacio today to go to the market and buy some fresh fruit and veg.  It’s better than the market in Belmopan and has more choice.  San Ignacio is a 40-minute drive but it’s worth it.

We stopped off at a cafe for an iced coffee and then went to the second-hand bookshop.  It’s the only bookshop we’ve found here.  It’s small but they have an interesting selection.  We donated three and came away with two so that’s some serious downsizing on our part.

Our final stop was at a new supermarket, Quality Chicken, which was wonderfully organised and had a good selection.  It should be good as our friend, Geoff, who runs Corkers, was a consultant on the project.  It was a vastly superior shopping experience but, as you might expect, also more expensive.

And then when we got home we had a lovely spontaneous call with our friend, Janice, in Vancouver.

We’re currently on the last series of ‘Succession’ which we’re really enjoying.
