Banana Sprout

I bought a banana tree starter plant at a local market one month ago. I planted it as instructed and watered it every day. The green top eventually turned brown (as you can see), and I was left to hope that something was happening underground. Today I got my confirmation when I saw this new sprout coming up. The vendor said I would have bananas to eat in eight months. We’ll see!
