Salix Gracilistyla (Pink Pussy Willow)

I haven't seen too many of these pretty pink catkins so was pleased to spot this shrub growing just outside the walled garden in Cambo Estate.

It was a fine morning so we decided to make a slight detour before heading home .... it wasn't just the allure of freshly baked cheese and herb scones that lured us from our normal route home!

Back home now and preparing for a week of very cold weather ... I don't mind the cold as long as it's not wet and windy.
