Sgwarnog: In the Field

Willow

16yo and I headed out to Skipton on the train for our usual potter about and walk in the woods. The ings were well flooded as we passed Cononley, and a large flock of Lapwing were exploring the soggy pastures.

New walking boots for her, and a few (all legitimately on various want lists :-)  ) books from the Oxfam book shop for me, along with next year’s Christmas cards.

We had lunch at the pottery café as usual, which was good apart from a bit of confusion regarding their vegan labelling (their chalk board had a different abbreviation to their printed menu!) and my initial disbelief that there are even vegan naan breads these days :-)

The new boots were initiated with a muddy walk in the castle woods. This willow deer has previously escaped attention in my blips, so today seemed a good day to feature it.
