At the beginning …

……… of the Lake Hayes track; on the North side.

It looked so cool and inviting as we headed up the track. Another scorcher of a day. Missy & I walked along the Lake about midday, too late for beating the heat (mad dogs & English women) but thankfully! there was a breeze and it was all good. Lucky us!

Oldest son & partner couldn’t go on their booked flight to Milford because of unfavourable weather conditions, but turned up here late arvo, with Christmas presents - what a treat! Plus we walked over to the new Lodge for them to check it out. B. liked it so much that she thoughts she’d like to move into the Village! Nah she can’t. She’s too young.

Time was ticking on so we made an off-the-cuff decision to have dinner at the Postmasters Café in Arrowtown, and my daughter & son-in-law joined us too. We were sitting outside, lovely warm evening, great food - it doesn’t get any better. Those prawns were delicious!
