Cairngorm

Drove down to Aviemore to try out my new touring skis. Not many piste skiers as conditions on the slopes are a bit thin, though what snow there is is good (if a tad icy).  Skinned up to the top of Cairngorm and skied back down into Coire Cas.  Skins, originally seal skins but now artificial, are stuck to the skis to go uphill: there are little hairs on them with a direction to the hairs, so they slide forward but stick to the snow to stop you sliding backward --- very clever!
