Rehearsal again

The full forces today for the orchestral rehearsal. It was a long day of rehearsing this complicated but uninspiring work. Apparently Theodora was a flop for Handel when it was presented, and I can't help agreeing with the audiences of the day. It has a couple of lovely pieces, but mostly it's pretty unmemorable. Tomorrow we have a dress rehearsal at 10am and then the performance at 3pm, so another long day. I'll be glad when it's over and I'm free! Retirement beckons.
