This striking skyline would once have been very familiar to passengers on the long defunct railway from Maud to Fraserburgh. The spire of the South Church and the battlement- like tower of the Dalrymple Hall - known locally as the 'cafe' form an impressive skyline 19th century buildings proudly reflecting the prosperity of 19th century Fraserburgh when the fishing industry was flourishing.
