Closure

A big day. The wooden fence between my garden and the car park behind it, taken down over 18 months ago, was reinstated this afternoon. Between times, the black plastic that was neatly secured to the temporary wire fence, visible here top left, has been bashed and battered and wind-torn.

Neither the people who originally agreed to give me access, nor the people who bought the car park and honoured the agreement, nor my builders, nor I expected it to be down for so long.

Now I can begin the laborious process of remaking my garden which, when the fence came down, I naively thought would happen about 12 months ago.
