Crannog

A new walk for us today, our rather, am extended version of one we know. It took us to this view of a crannog on a little loch; there were the remains of another crannog at the other end so a popular spot.

Berry had a great time; plenty of mud and puddles (extra). Unfortunately the cleaning loch waters were at the midway point so that was no use! I saw the beginnings of spring growth with narcissi showing along the trackside which feels very early!

Just nice to be outside without getting wet - from above anyway!

The birds were gathering in the oyce again today. The extra is a very poor shot but just an idea of the flock sizes, mostly Wigeon and Curlew but the odd Godwit in there too.  Lovely to hear the whistles and warbles :-)
