REMEMBERING ADMIRER...

Hello Lovely Blippers,

You all know how we love a party and as it would have been Admirer’s birthday tomorrow, 15th January, we decided to have a party today. The HCBs will be at Church tomorrow, so it would have been more difficult, so today is PARTY DAY!  If you live anywhere near, do drop in and I’m sure you will be made very welcome.

We have some silly games ready and we know that Admirer would be giggling if she could hear and see us playing all these - especially “Blind Man’s Buff” - but we wonder if we are allowed to say that now - shouldn’t it be “Blind Person’s Buff”?  

No doubt we will be playing Pass the Parcel because Mrs. HCB likes that and she especially likes the forfeits that you find every time you take a layer of paper off the parcel.  We know we will have a wonderful time and keep remembering Admirer as we play.

You can see we have a birthday cake and also some marshmallows, so that means we will be having hot chocolate with marshmallows, chocolate cake and we know where Mrs. HCB’s stash of chocolates is!  Sounds like chocolate overload! We also have some lovely biscuits we found in the kitchen when the HCBs came back from Church last week.  When we asked her about them, she said that some friends had been to Hong Kong and brought them back for both of them - well, Mr. HCB is in luck because Mrs. HCB is on her new eating plan at the moment!  However, by the time we have finished, we doubt there will be many left!

You might be wondering why you can see some red carnations in the photograph - well Mrs. HCB found out that the special flower for January is the carnation and she just happened to have four left from a bouquet that was given to her for her birthday on 26th December, so they have done well.  

If you are wondering about the writing on this shot, it says “Happy Birthday, Admirer” in Dutch, because of course, Admirer came from there, and we know that sometimes her daughter looks at Mrs. HCB’s Blips.

Don’t forget BE KIND and look out for others, especially in this very cold weather.
