Ringed Plover

At least the rain came during the night and left today mostly dry, although there were some very heavy showers.

I wandered down to the boat to check it over and noticed there were quite a few birds about. They generally scatter when you approach them, but this little Ringed Plover kept feeding away in the sand at the water's edge where there seemed to be some juicy big sand worms. Not as sharp as I would have liked because it didn't stand still for a second!
