Quarry gate

An early wake up call at 4-ish this morning with the rain lashing on the windows and then wide awake and hanging the washing out before 8 so no lie-in as planned. I actually had a really productive morning with a walk round to the shops and finally getting round to potting up the plants I bought a couple of weeks ago. I took a bit of a detour on the way back to walk down to the edge of the quarry but didn't fancy plodging my way down the paths so went back via the road once I'd taken a few shots. There are lots of wild flowers down there so I will head back at some point - in more appropriate footwear this time.
