Toots in Solitude

Still much to do

Donald wanted to go to Bruntsfield to buy a Spectator but discussing it together we thought that the trek up the hill and back again would be a little too much for him so I drove him to the top of Merchiston Park and left him for his wander, knowing that the Bookshop would also be an attraction. I did give strict instructions that he should phone if he couldn't make it home. He did get home, but only just. He said he couldn't have gone further but he enjoyed the excursion. When we get a little more settled we are going to build a routine of a brief morning walk and then again in the evening, just around the block.
