Quod oculus meus videt

Lying Around

For some reason one of the local farmers has left his round straw bales out in the fields for the last few months.  I can think of a fe reasons, but it is still unusual to take what might appear to be a harvest time image in early January.  One thing that wasn't the same was the temperature!

We walked in the same area later in the day, first in cloudless sunshine then in increasing cloud and milky skies.  We had an impromptu call, inviting us out for dinner tonight and also a call for help from L's mum, who had lost her front door key.  At least she was in the house, rather than outside.

We went round but couldn't find it, so have borrowed one of the neighbours spares.  Sadly, this is becoming an increasingly common problem for her as the dementia progresses.  It inevitably triggers thoughts of what can be done to help her and if there will come a time when more help/care is needed.
