One Of "THOSE" Days
" We need you to open a ticket with this company for a thing that doesn't work" said my team leader. "And how long have you lost the ability to write?" I wondered.
This is really one of my least favourite jobs.
It always works like this:
Ticket opened, all the known details described.
The problem is not mine. But I've given a detailed explanation.
E-Mail from the company asking for information that I don't have.
E-Mail forwarded to the developer.
E-Mail answer "Why do they need this?"
Never ever be the middle man in this kind of correspondence.
And you just know the question will be asked tomorrow "When can we expect a solution?"
This drives me nuts.
It's not my problem, it's just another pile of Scheiß dumped on my desk.
I don't get angry very often - it's not my thing - but when things like this keep happening there's a very high risk of me using intemperate language to express my displeasure.
Just as well I can't swear in German.
