Pillars in local church

I was at a funeral today in our village. It was a beautiful blue sky day but bitterly cold.

Whilst we were awaiting the start of the service I noticed the sun catching these lovely chunky pillars in the church.

The vicar / undertakers were having a real problem with sound system which ended up being quite inappropriately funny but luckily didn’t detract from the event too much.
