The Day of the Trifids

I know this isn't how the Trifids are supposed to look but I always think of them when I go through these sinister looking plants (Giant Hogweed - which is rather sinister when green), the biggest are over 10ft tall.
I knew it was going to be another sunny, cold day and I decided I'd have a short run in the morning, as well as the group one in the evening (and in case the weather changed and the evening wasn't possible). It turned out a little longer than planned as I went up into the wood where the mud is nicely frozen and it was lovely - though slow.
Various odds and ends in the afternoon and then another 4 miles in different woods in the dark with the group.
