How many tomato varieties to grow?

I'm home alone for the next 4 days, so making the most of it to sort some seeds for sowing in the next few weeks.  I appear to have 12 different varieties of tomatoes, before I start looking at anything else.  Maybe time to give some of them away.
In the extra we have germination!  Some of the date stones are beginning to grow little shoots. The date palms are on their way,  :-)
