Orangerie View

We were there to see an excellent exhibition on the painter and sculptor Amadeo Modigliani (1884-1920). Born as a Sefardic Jew in Livorno, Italy, he suffered his entire short life in France from his weak tuberculoric constitution and was followed immediately in death by his eight-month pregnant partner who cast herself from a balcony.
Enough of sadness—good night.
