That Will Do!

Leaving Staffordshire

But first, we clear the snow off the windscreen.

We drive to say a farewell to Big Brother and find an ambulance and his friends' car in the driveway. Much concern, mainly about possible uncleared chest infection but his friends encourage us to leave for home, as snow is forecast for the following day. With heavy hearts, we drove away.

The sun was bright behind us, the air clear and the temperature dipping to -3°C but we had no problems. A stop at Tebay for lunch entertained by ducks walking on the iced pond (see extra), a quick grocery shop near home and here we are.

At some point, fairly soon, we'll need to return to continue the process of clearing the house - or maybe putting everything back again. We wait and see.
