Summer colour…

…from the stitching cave where I took up a couple of pairs of trousers today and sorted some fun stitchery to take back to Lake Tarawera tomorrow.
Can’t have idle hands whilst listening to my audiobooks now can I?
It brings back such a strong memory of my totally blind grandfather (whose mother had rubella whilst he was in utero) listening to audiobooks via reel to reel tapes (in the 50s)via a huge tape recorder that was lent by The Foundation for the Blind in Auckland,New Zealand. He was trained there in the art of piano tuning. My grandmother taught him to knit and he made many cotton dish cloths.
